Seirai Group Japan Ltd. (the "Company", "we" or "us") makes it a basic principle to have no relationship of any kind with organised crime groups or any other group or individual that seeks economic gain through violence, intimidation or fraud ("anti-social forces"). In line with the Japanese government's guideline on preventing damage to companies from anti-social forces (企業が反社会的勢力による被害を防止するための指針), we set out our basic policy below.
1. Responding as an organisation
We do not leave the handling of anti-social forces to the individual in charge. The whole Company responds as an organisation, led by the Representative Director, and the safety of the officers and employees concerned is our first priority.
2. Working with outside specialists
When we receive an improper demand, or there is a risk of one, we consult outside specialists, such as the police, Tokyo's centre for the elimination of organised crime groups (公益財団法人暴力団追放運動推進都民センター) and lawyers, and respond together with them.
3. No relationship of any kind, including business
We will have no relationship of any kind with anti-social forces, including business dealings. With a new business partner, we seek to confirm before business begins that it is not an anti-social force, and when we conclude a contract in writing, we seek to include a clause allowing us to terminate it if the other party is found to be one. If, after business has begun, the other party is found to be an anti-social force, or there is reason to suspect so, we will take steps to end the relationship.
4. Civil and criminal legal action
We do not give in to improper demands from anti-social forces, and we respond through the law, by both civil and criminal means.
5. No backroom deals and no funding
Whatever the reason, we make no backroom deals with anti-social forces and provide them with no funds. Even where a demand rests on misconduct by the Company, its officers or its employees, we will not enter into any deal to conceal the facts.
